We spent our 'honeymoon' here after having waiting 10 years. It was well worth the wait. We don't think that we have slept better anywhere else. It is truly everything that everyone has said and better. Not to be missed. The hosts are wonderful and even lent us their Sat Nav to get to a really superb local Chateau with...
Set in the Seven Valleys, less than an hour from Calais, Maison de Plumes is an 18th Century ‘Maison de Maitre’ which has been tastefully restored to it's former glories, a renovation which would no doubt please the original Countess owner.
The owners will warmly welcome you into their beautiful home with a chilled glass of bubbly. Unwind in the stunning Art Deco Lounge, whilst your bags are whisked away to your elegant bedroom with en-suite facilities.. Meet for Petit Four and Aperitifs before dinner, which is served in the Grand Dining Room.
The Seven Valleys (Pas de Calais) is a charming area, remarkably unspoilt with a wealth of cosy restaurants and vibrant markets where local fare is produced with pride. The Seven Valleys are easily reached from the Channel Ports and is on the main railway line which runs from Boulogne to Arras and not far from the A26 Autoroute. We're not far from Le Touquet so if you're looking for a B&B in Le Touquet or Northern France then Maison de Plumes is ideal.
The house is large but not so big as to detract from the fact that it is a family home.
The gardens ‘Les Jardins Blanche’ are set south facing and again are large and tranquil. Fragrant white flowers and songbirds will sooth the stresses of work.. Who knows, you may even hear the odd cow mooing lazily in the background. One thing is for sure, you will hear little traffic here! Simply lounge on the terrace with a cold beer or take a dip in the hot tub. Play garden games or enjoy a good book from our library.
We regret Maison de Plumes is not a suitable place for children
