Eat
We pride ourselves on our food. The produce we use is home grown where possible and seasonal (in keeping with the French ideal) We have extensive vegetable and herb gardens and keep our own free range hens. Vegetarian Meals are also catered for. Fine French wines, of the highest standard, are served with meals. The following are examples:
Breakfast
Breakfast is served at your leisure not ours. We offer this in the dining room, or for an additional 5 Euros breakfast can be delivered to your bedroom. Fresh croissants and breads, French cheeses & hams, home made jams. Delicious eggs from our corn fed hens, coffee, hot chocolate and teas... An indulgent way to start the day!
Dinner
After a day sight seeing, why not book a sumptuous dinner? We meet at around 7.30 in the lounge for petit four and aperitifs. Dinner is normally served at 8.00. A typical meal would consist of Seared Fois Gras on a bed of Rocquette followed by Pan Fried Duck Breast, Gratin Dauphinoise and seasonal vegetables. A full cheeseboard follows. Remember, we do offer Vegetarian options too!
All, naturally, served with the finest French wines. Eating in France is a very sociable experience, the hosts will join you whenever possible, if you so wish. Bon appetite!
