Stunning rooms, breathtaking lounge and dining room and Richard and Vanessa we the best hosts one could hope for. Would recommend this hotel to any couple looking for a classy intimate weekend away without breaking the bank, just a 40 minute drive from the channel tunnel but a world away from home
We have just had, as usual an amazing two night stay at Maison de Plumes. Reason for returning for seventh trip was of course the stunning house with its perfect host Vanessa and Richard. Nothing is too much trouble and Richard and Vanessa balance everything just right from the decor to hosting. Choose the room to suit your personality but all are sumptuous, comfortable and stunning.

The house is stunning and the room we stayed in the Peacock was absolutely beautiful, nice smell of candles and the decoration is just so lovely
The house is beautiful and the interior design, just stunning; Vanessa has an incredible sense of style and we've left coveting the sitting room, dining room and pretty much everything else in-between!
We stayed in the Ostrich Room with beautiful views of the garden and countryside to the rear of the property.
We experienced a very quiet and tranquil 2 nights sleep, which was very relaxing
We stayed in the Flamingo room, which is both beautiful and very large. We thought that our bed at home was comfortable but the bed in the Flamingo room was the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in! We slept so well on both nights

The true essence of this place is a slice of "Heaven" and being welcomed into a home, with the luxury of having such beautiful rooms and surroundings.
We stayed in the Swan suite on June 9/10th. It is hard to know which to praise first - our warm welcome or the outstanding taste shown by the choice of decor. This room with Nespresso, Sky TV, sumptuous bath, its own patio wants for nothing and is ideal for those who value privacy
we had a riot of an evening. Imagine... Come Dine with Me but in the most superb of locations and with gorgeous, gorgeous food and people you never have to see again!
I felt like one of the family enjoying a “bright young things” experience.

We were made welcome from the minute we arrived and were shown to our spacious room - Parakeet - with its magnificent, ornate bed and stunning black-floored bathroom with claw-footed bath & high-tech shower...not to mention the wonderful candelabra ready to be lit overlooking the tub! Brilliant...
We stayed in the Flamingo room which was gorgeous. The room overlooked the garden and was huge with high ceilings which add to the feeling of grandeur and space. The bed was really comfy as was the chaise longue which was great to stretch out on whilst reading a book!
Just to echo the other reviews, we thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay in the Flamingo Room which was so warm and welcoming on a cold February afternoon
The interior design is incredible, a real work of art. We stayed in the Ostrich room and it looked even better than in the photos. Spacious bedroom, with a big bathroom and free standing bath, and the comfiest bed.
Peacock - Oh so tasteful
The bed was like sleeping on a giant marshmallow - 10 out of 10!
We stayed in the Peacock room (which is the only twin) and slept very soundly only to be woken by a chorus of birdsong!
I have never slept so well away from home!
The room we stayed in (Swan room) was really romantic and you could watch tv from the bath.
We stayed in the Flamingo Room which was beautiful and quirky, with period style furniture and ultra modern things which mingled with each other beautifully
Our room was amazing with mad parrots on the wallpaper, black shag pile carpet, a huge bed and in the ensuite a free standing bathtub overlooking the front garden.
This is a massive room and bed. Loved the feather juju hat and opulent rococo furniture, A triumph of design!
Wished we had been here for more than one night-perfect!!

Thank you for 3 wonderful days - everything is exquisite. The gourmet food arrives in degrees of excellence! It is worth the trip just to view the amazing interior décor. Richard & Vanessa are as charming as their surroundings!! Nothing is to much trouble. Better service than most 5 star hotels!
